Hallandale Beach Traffic Alert

Friends & Neighbors:
I wanted to share an important traffic update from the Florida Department of Transportation impacting Hallandale Beach in the coming days:
Hallandale Beach Boulevard Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway
The bridge will be completely closed Thursday night, September 17, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for lock repairs.
State Road A1A from Seacrest Parkway to the County Line Improvements in Hallandale Beach and Hollywood
Traffic Impact:
  • Up to two lanes in each direction of A1A between Seacrest Parkway and the Miami-Dade County line will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
  • One lane in each direction of A1A between Seacrest Parkway and the Miami-Dade County line will be closed Tuesday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Sidewalks on both sides of A1A will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday. Signs will be in place to direct pedestrians to sidewalk detours.
  • U-turns from A1A northbound at the intersections of La Mer Condominiums (1890 S. Ocean Drive) and Hemispheres Condominiums (1980 S. Ocean Drive) are restricted intermittentlyMonday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. due to lane closures on A1A southbound.
The improvements under this project include removing old asphalt and repaving with new asphalt within the project limits, upgrading signalization, installing stamped asphalt at pedestrian crosswalks, installing pedestrian countdown timers, installing “Share the Road” signage and pavement markings, and installing new mast arms.
$2.7 million. Completion in September 2015.
Keeping you informed,
Commissioner Keith London
