Have you seen the mural?

Friends and Neighbors:
The much-anticipated Broward 100 Mural Project is finally under way on A-1-A!

Artist Eddie Mendieta started earlier last week by pressure washing the filthy bridge to prepare it for his creation, which he named,“Beneath the Sea.”  When completed the artwork will look like this:

As per FDOT regulations, the artist can only work from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. to avoid any “rush hour” traffic on southbound A-1-A.  He expects to take about three weeks to complete the project.

One southbound lane of A1A south of Hallandale Beach Boulevard will be closed through Friday, November 20th between9am and 4pm.

I hope you get to see the artist in action!

Keeping you informed,
Commissioner Keith London
